Why Nexo Knights is officially Lego's worst TV show

WARNING: MAY CONTAIN MINOR SPOILERS FOR NEXO KNIGHTS SEASON 1 AND 2

I have been a Ninjago fan since 2012 and I am still going strong through the story and the games. Unfortunately for me, I live in Japan. Not that Japan is bad or anything I just get all the news very very very late. Also, I don't have cartoon network, so I have to watch everything in Japanese on "Lego Time"and it kinda sucks because the English jokes don't really work in Japanese, so it's a lot less entertaining. However, when Nexo Knights started to show it was GREAT all caps no joke awesome. Then it got bad. and dumb. and really really really downright stupid. I'm glad they didn't try to use it to replace Ninjago like they did with Chima but it's just so screwed up I can't help but complain about why this show is absolutely terrible. (Please excuse any run-on sentences.)

NEXO POWER: It's basically Prettycure

One of the most awful thing in some of today's TV shows, is that what happens is: the heroes are doing something, the bad guy comes, they have this semi-epic fight, then the heroes use the EXACT SAME FREAKING POWER TO DEFEAT THE BAD GUY EVERY TIME.

In pretty cure it's called a sparkle wand or something.

In Nexo Knights it's the NEXO power.

In the sets and the game, the Nexo power is actually kinda cool. They have a nice variety of different powers with fruits, elemental powers, and basic epic stuff you would want to do.

In the show as of season two, there are five different powers.

-Kill monsters

-Kill monsters w/t Ultra Armour 

-That idiotic dumb power you can't scan on that dumb junior-shield Robin has.

-The Nexo Power doesn't work.

-The Book of Creativity Nexo Power that turns Merlok into 4D in the Legoland 4D movie and makes this giant robot that all five Knights can control (but for some reason has a priority to respond to Lance when he idiotically starts stroking his own hair) to kill the Dragon of Creativity.

As you can see, only 3 of the 5 Nexo powers actually do something that can defeat villains. And all 3 have the exact same effect.

KILL MONSTERS

Do they kill monsters in a special way? NO. Do they use a unique spell to kill the monsters? NO. Does Merlok 2.0 actually have any common sense to think that they should probably use the Ultra Armour every time so that the monsters can't hurt any more civilians? NO.

TOP 9 MOST DUMBEST THING

Fortunately for me on the second episode of season three Merlok finally digs up a unique Nexo Power.

What's the result? 

FREAKING FRIED BANANAS.

(Merlok I am extremely disappointed in you.)

The next one is better. It's a combo that actually works against monsters.

TOP 8 MOST DUMBEST THING

There are no other Knights: The ageless classmates.

In case you're going to say that there were the Tighty Knighties or whatever their idiot name was, I'm not counting them because they're totally useless.

I am talking about Knights that can actually do stuff. Like freaking kill monsters, use Nexo Shields, and defend the whole Kingdom. 

Remember that special episode with all the flashbacks of the Knights Origin stories? There were so many other Knights students. (Aaron was so CUTE!) Then when they grew up, for some reason only five students graduated. The rest were reduced to entertainment for the crowd and poking long spears at each other. (Yes, I know they're called lances, but they're not worth mentioning.) They also ride robotic horses and fight each other a lot. I mean, they're pretty much only clones of each other anyway so who cares? Or there could be another thing. They don't age. 

SO THEY'RE STUCK IN SCHOOL FOR ETERNITY.

Plus, the Squirebots suck. Apparently whoever programmed them was a total idiot and thought it would be great to make them all cowards.

Lance is an absolute JERK

I'm not sure this one needs an explanation.

BUT SERIOUSLY that guy needs a personality transplant. I just wished they left him in the pigsty and forgot about him until he starved to death.

The themes are terrible!

Okay so let's compare Ninjago with Nexo Knights.

Ninjago:
Pilot Episodes: Teamwork

Season 1: Teamwork, brotherhood, jealousy, family relationships, being yourself, accepting who you are, divided we fall

Season 2: Teamwork, friendship, facing trials, spending your youth wisely, focusing, darkness/light
Season 3: Teamwork, friendship, facing choices, sacrifices, father-son relationships, perseverance.

NEXO Knights:
Season 1: Team work, kill monsters.
Season 2: Team work, kill monsters.
Season 3(so far): Team work, kill monsters.

The King is a terrible dad

This man is not fit to be a father. If he was trying to enter a BADDAD contest they'd probably say: Sorry your majesty, no professionals.

Is that all this dumbo man thinks about? He barely does anything else on the show.

TOP 4 MOST DUMBEST THING

Merlok 2.0 is extremely idiotic

This guy has to scan his own memory a million times (actually 3) before he can actually get everything. Which is dumb and creepy. Basically Merlok 2.0 is getting his memories off a slowly rotting corpse somewhere in a forest. He had to scan it once to find out the snow globe had the Mega Magma Tower hidden in it, then to find a cool Nexo Power, then to find out that the book of Monsters is the Monstrox.
Also this guy has to sleep. Instead of keeping guard he let Clay steal the book of betrayal or whatever it was called and nearly got the whole entire kingdom destroyed. Shouldn't they just have destroyed the evil book right then and there? Then that would mean the Monstrox's transformation would never be complete and Jestro would have been just lying in his palace with a load of dancing, chanting, annoying monsters.

TOP 3 MOST DUMBEST THING

Jestro is extremely idiotic

Jestro is ridiculously stupid. There is no way anyone can actually be that clumsy or dumb in real life. He doesn't even have the common sense to run away from a freaking talking book with sharp teeth and an ugly face in a dangerous magical library.

In "Open Mic Knight" we find out that Jestro is actually very very good at stand up comedy, that's the episode he turned back good. Then when he goes back to being good guy and guess what he does.

He's a freaking weather reporter.

Besides, shouldn't he be in jail after destroying all those villages and everything?

TOP 2 MOST DUMBEST THING

The bad guys have been the same for the last 3 seasons

Shouldn't we have a little more variety?

I mean look at this:

-Lava Monsters, Jestro, Monstrox

-More Lava Monsters, Jestro, Monstrox

-Rock Monsters, Jestro, Monstrox

The two main villains are always the same. It's boring, even with cool redesigns.

Rocks and flames

In episode 22 in season 3, we see the rock monsters attacking Amourville (dumb name)

Wait, is that fire? Like, the same magical purplish Overlord fire the Lava monsters started in all the other exactly identical villages in season 1 and 2?

Rock monsters what can they do? CRUSH THINGS, PUNCH THINGS, JUMP ON THINGS.

They don't start fires. That is extremely stupid. I don't see anyone jumping on anything. All I see is rock monsters running around and throwing things. Shouldn't they be demolishing buildings and throwing people?

Those monsters were holograms and the only thing the townspeople were doing was running around and screaming because there was too much solidified light around them.

TOP 1 MOST DUMBEST THING

It's a rip-off of Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitsu

You're probably going to disagree with me, but stick with me for a bit. It's actually true.

First of all, the characters.

Desperate to be fighters instead of "normal" girls. Minor victims of sexism.

Super strength and love for food.

The "righteous ones"

The old mentor guys

Then of course there's multiple episodes that are just dumb versions of Ninjago Episodes


For example

-The black Knight = Double Trouble

There are a lot more that are not even worth mentioning.
